Green Car - グリーン車

Ever hear of 'Green car"? Types of green vehicles include vehicles that go fully or partly on alternative energy sources than fossil fuel. Another alternative is to use alternative fuel composition in conventional fossil fuel-based vehicles, making them go partly on renewable energy sources.Examples of vehicles with reduced petroleum consumption include electric cars and fuel cell-powered hydrogen cars.

Hybrid car may be partly fossil fueled and partly electric or hydrogen-powered.One drawback to all hybrids is that they cost more than their conventional counterparts. The extra expense is for the added technology. Conventional vehicles have only a gasoline engine. Hybrids have the gasoline engine along with one or more electric motors connected to a battery pack that automatically recharges itself.

But the one consumer decision most people make which impacts the greatest on the environment is the choice of car we drive.A gallon of gasoline weighs just over 6 pounds. When burned, the carbon in it combines with oxygen from the air to produce nearly 20 pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2). By switching from a gas guzzler to a hybrid , you can literally save the earth a couple of tons of greenhouse gases. These electric and gas powered machines not only save resources and money, but also help preserve the environment. The growing environmental concerns and rising gas prices are convincing more and more people to choose a hybrid.

My next new car definitely going to be a hybrid. How about you?
