Green Way - フレンドリーな環境の方法

Last week when my children and I were having some chat after dinner as usual. We talked about how to have more environmental awareness among ourselves and try to influence other. I pointed out their usual habit like always switched on the light during day time , using water heater during afternoon shower and so on. Suddenly my son asked me a very good question. He asked "Why don't we just live in the cage or on the tree like what our ancestors did?" From there we had some very good and meaningful discussion.

Being green is not to forget or slow down the human civilization. But to utilize what we had invented wisely and think not only ourselves. Because there are many living thing that live on the earth as the same time as we do. What we really looking into is to have sustainability life style, healthy life style that harmonious with the universe.

My daughter always wanted to has her hair perm.Instead of using some toxin chemical on her hair I bought her a hair stylish accessories kit.Whenever she feels like having curly hair , she just needs to tie up her hair with the kit into a "bub" for an hour. She will has her hair curly as if done in saloon but only this method is totally free and green. For sure we cannot keep the hair curl for long but I do think what we actually want is just merely a change of look at certain time. Try it out someday , you will find it interesting and satisfied.

The Green Year - 緑の年

Every time when you decide to start on doing something , maybe like doing exercise 15 minutes a day or read a book to your child every night or others.I am sure you will enjoy it very much at the very beginning because it is so appealing.But graduatly you will feel that it is a burden to you that you need to commit yourself into all these. What is the ending? We give up on what we had the most enthusiasm at the time we made our oath.

It same goes to becoming green on our life.Most of us want to do the right thing for the environment, but making the commitment to change our fast-paced, convenience-oriented lifestyles can be more than a little daunting.So what’s the answer?We should have take that giant commitment and cut it up into 365 little commitments that get met one day at a time. Maybe you can start to plan your Green Year.Make it simple, practical, affordable, and engaging activities that make going green a blessing rather than a burden in our daily life.

Let's go green one day at a time.You will be more happy about what you are doing.

The Planet isn't Going to Save Itself !

As a mother of 3 kids , the least I can do about saving the planet is to
educate my children when they are very young. Education is the only salvation on this issue. Of cause we need to put them into action and play as an important role model for them.
