Zee Avi

I was so thrilled by an amazing and inspiring true story about a normally simple girl from Miri, Sarawak, East Malaysia became a famous artist at USA . Many are saying that Youtube can make you famous but how and when??? This really happened on Zee Avi !

Zee Avi is a Malaysian  singer-songwriter, guitarist, and ukulele  player. She was born in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. She moved to Kuala Lumpur when she was 12. She studied fashion design at American InterContinental University in London. To know more about her.

In September 2007 Avi posted a video of her first song on YouTube for one of her friends who had missed her first performance in Kuala Lumpur. The friend convinced Avi to leave the video online even after he had seen it, and soon she received positive feedback. This inspired her to put more videos on YouTube. After being featured on the m
ain page of YouTube, she was discovered .Her full self-titled debut album was released on May 19, 2009.On the day of her album's release, YouTube featured her on the front page in Spotlight:

Who say legend is just a fairy tale! When you are talented you will be found!

Spectacular Hidden Treasure - 壮大な隠し宝

It has been a yaerly routine for our family traveled to Sabah , Kota Kinabalu for a year end short vacation. And we never missed Kundasang which located some 2 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu and only 10 minutes driving from Kinabalu Park. The journey takes on meandering mountain road with spectacular views of the Crocker Range. We ventured to a spectacular attraction at Kundasang during our last visied ---------Kundasang World War II Memorial !

Kundasang World War II Memorial - An impressive and well maneged war memorial erected in memory of the 24,000 Allied soldiers killed during World War II . It is divided into different levels depicting gardens of the different countries - England, Australia and Borneo. There are four beautiful gardens - the Australian Garden, the English Garden, the Borneo
Garden and the Contemplation Garden and Pool - to represent the different nationalities. With its towering pine trees and blooming roses, a walk in the gardens is reminiscent to that of a stroll in a quaint English garden. The scent of roses lingers in the air and the serene atmosphere makes the Kundasang War Memorial an ideal place to contemplate and remember the heroes of the war.Spectacular view of Mount Kinabalu and the surrounding farmlands of Kundasang can be seen from viewing gallery of the memorial.

This  must-visit in Kundasang -- the Kundasang War Memorial is stablished in 1962.This was one of the first memorials to commemorate the brave Australian and British Prisoners of War who died in Sandakan and during the infamous death marches to Ranau during World War II.A mixture of bravary and sadness should been remebered here. The memorial also remembers the people of North Borneo who risked their lives to help the POWs. Visitors can also opt to view a brief video on the history of the Sandakan Death March.
