Green Technology | China Urges The Bank To Assist SMEs In Infrastructure Green Tech Venture

"The first is the development of a framework for low carbon city to serve as a guidance document for all municipalities and cities that are willing to engage in the most common and green," he said.Chin said he would follow the introduction of PAS Green Township that contain the parameters, the key elements and performance criteria for certification as a green city.
 "It 'will also include a carbon calculator, the building in which users can calculate their carbon emissions and an assessment will be provided on the basis of total net reduction of carbon dioxide," he said.
He said the government has also decided to Putrajaya and Cyberjaya become green city."The ministry is working with the New Energy and Industrial Development in Japan to produce an action plan for both cities to meet the agenda of the City Green," he said.

Meanwhile, on progress to introduce feed-in tariff (FIT) for renewable energy, Chin said that the second and third reading of Bill Renewable Energy and Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) the draft law were to be held on March 28 and March 29, 2011, respectively.SEDA is the management body of the ITF, which allow users to sell excess electricity to the grid.
