The Somerville Arts Council is accepting registration for Porchfest Somerville, a project highlighting the basic Somerville 's musical talent. Whether you're a classical musician, member of a hard rock band, student or aging rockers, young or old, there is a format to highlight Somerville 's musicians.

The idea is simple Porchfest - Saturday, May 21, in the afternoon, local musicians will perform on the arcades of the city. The Somerville Arts Council, the structure with the promotion of events and an online map. You, the musician, will coordinate with your neighbors - in a fashion district - to let them know that you'll play for a short period. If the Council receives a lot of arcades in the mix, the event will be structured in different districts to run at different times. The audience moves around to control the sound in different districts.

The Council may also play a role in bringing people who have a porch and a desire to accommodate the musicians and musicians who want to do, but needed a porch. However, investments can 't be guaranteed, so they can coordinate.
